About the Artist

Teresa Higdon, The Artist

Teresa has been creating mosaics since 1991 after graduating from The Art Institute of Dallas with an interior design degree. She opened her studio in Jupiter, Florida where many of her mosaics were installed in multi-million dollar homes in West Palm Beach, Jupiter Island, Miami and many other parts of the country.

Custom Mosaics moved to Las Vegas in 2004 and has been designing mosaics for customers all around the country.

While designing and managing her business, Teresa also has provided weekend workshops to teach other people wanting to learn the art of mosaics, creating a larger group of people in this country to practice the art form.

Custom Mosaics designs are based on the old world style, utilizing the ancient classical roman and greek motifs, each mosaic is designed to the specific client needs and style to compliment the space.
